La Route des Phares du Quebec: Canada's Quebec Lighthouse Trail
One of my most memorable Canadian adventures was a 1,000-mile road trip in 2004 on La Route des Phares du Quebec, or the Quebec Lighthouse Trail. ARRET. Always makes me smile. Read somewhere that the word STOP has French roots and in France the signs say STOP and not ARRET. The silliest in my opinion is hambourgois for hamburger. It just isn't protecting your culture if you have to make up new words.
